| Question: Why do you think you and your "Solid Gold" show were so immensely popular?
Answer: To be truly successful an oldies show has to have a disc jockey who 1. knows the music of the times, 2. has that music available, and 3. - this may be the most important part - the DJ really has to love the music he's playing. Those three ingredients and his ability to communicate his love and enthusiams to his audience make for a very popular and enjoyable listening experience. The good Lord saw fit to bless me with all three, and I gladly give Him the credit for the success of my live and on-air shows - 1986 |
